Hilton King Lawyers are able to apply to the Legal Aid Commission for a grant of
legal aid to represent you in the following areas of law:-
- Family law and de facto relationships
- Child support
- Criminal Law
- Children, criminal law issues
- Domestic violence
- Disputes with government departments (such as social security)
- Protected estate matters
- Mental health and guardianship matters
We are able to apply on line directly to the Legal Aid Commission for a grant of legal
aid to enable us to represent you.
Grants of legal aid are subject to a means test. Before we can apply for a grant of
legal aid you will need to provide us with proof of your means. Specifically the
Commission requires that you provide:-
- proof of your income (a letter from DSS or your employer)
- your Bank Statements for the previous 3 months
